ZStar is a mobile ERP MVP built for a startup targeting mid-size businesses whose field teams were disconnected from core operations. Managers were relying on spreadsheets and phone calls to track tasks, approvals, and reporting. The founder needed a working mobile product to prove the concept to enterprise clients and close their first paid contracts.

The Challenge
Enterprise clients expect reliability and security from day one — "MVP quality" is not an excuse in this space. The product had to sync reliably with existing business data, handle real-time task management, and feel professional enough for enterprise evaluation. Getting this right in under 60 days while integrating with varied client systems was the central challenge.
Our Solution
We built ZStar in React Native for cross-platform deployment and used NestJS on the backend for a scalable, structured API layer. PostgreSQL handled the relational data requirements that ERP systems demand. RESTful APIs enabled clean integration with clients' existing systems. We prioritized security (JWT auth, role-based access) and data reliability over feature breadth — shipping a tight, trustworthy core before any extras.
Results
ZStar launched in 55 days and was used to close two enterprise pilot contracts within 30 days of launch. Field teams reported significant reduction in task coordination time. The working MVP gave the founder a concrete demonstration to use in sales conversations — replacing slide decks with a live, working product.
